oooh, now i wish i'd gone on UK tv. i was invited onto that iranian channel back in march. but since i keep forgetting how to pronounce their president's name, i was scared. plus, they asked me my last week in england when i was busy. but.... do you think sky would have me? poor joyceyland doesn't get too many visitors.
@Joyce: You, I think, would do well on TV. As for lost opportunities in Britain, it depends on whether you wanted to be big in Iran or not. I'm afraid if I'd gone on it would have given them one more American to burn in effigy.
I'm a journalist from Washington, D.C. In September 2007 I moved my family and our dog to Oxford, England, where I studied citizen journalism, a buzzword which basically applies to anyone who isn't like me doing what it is that I do. Now I'm back Stateside. This blog is basically a compendium of my writings in England. I'll be starting a new one soon about Washington.

The video works for me. But, by the FSM, it's tiny. About 1 inch diagonal on my screen.
That's frighteningly competent - are you now Sky's media correspondent, their science correspondent or their drugs correspondent?
Wow, John, or shall I call you Master of Multi-Media? You must have a very big avatar! Well done indeed.
5 hours well spent, JK. remember me when you're famous.
